Road/Supermoto Wheel fitment CRF

Hey guys, i'm wondering if anyone can give me a little advice. I'm thinking of road registering my 2004 crf250 so i can blat around on it locally over the summer so i obviously need a set of road wheels. Rather than shed out a fortune on talon excels i was thinking i'd get a pair of wheels off a street bike and modify them to fit, so my question is: which bikes should i
be looking at getting them off that's not going to be too much of a nightmare modifying to make them work.

Put some road tyres on your own rims/spare set of rims or keep a look out for some 17" SM wheels

Ebay can come up with the occasional bargain as my mate just got some 'as new' Talon/Excels with 320mm disc and Talon caliper brkt for £350

I bought a set of xr250 std wheels with brand new Avon Distanzia's and bearings etc for £170 last year and when i sold the bike i sold the wheels again and got the full amount back again
