I had a go one a few weeks back, I thought it Was superb, I simply cannot believe that outside of buying the BMW badge anybody could ride the crosstourer and then go for a GS. The Super Tenere is now available for 10000 I was offered a crosstourer for the same money with a bit of pushing, seriously tempted. Mind you I would like the DCT version

It's good to hear reviews from people that have actually ridden one, rather than the usual "it's not an Africa Twin" type coments!

Here I go with my normal 'Why do they do that' comment.
Went to visit a friend who works in the Honda showroom of P&H Motorcycles. Had a good look over the Crosstourer. Thought the ride position was very good. But WHY does it have a six pin multi-plug connector at the front of the engine designed to catch all the British weather!!!
I know, I know I'm anal but what a stupid location. Bikes nowadays are not designed to last for years (Luddites Unite)
I did have a lonnnnnnnng ride on his new 1098 Speed Triple That was an absolute hoot, I thought there was something wrong with my Trannie when I got back on!

Funny you should mention that. Had a talk about the crosstourer with some GSers, and quite a few of them didn't see any problem at all with a bike that flat-out refused to start after a tumble. Because if you drop a GS on a sharp rock and crack a head you're stranded too. There's some odd logic on these modern bikes...
