    Hey all,

I noticed on the way home that the 'clock surround' was vibrating on the lhs

I got home and discovered the mount - attached to the inside of the front fairing - was broken

A quick dig about in the garage and I found a tube (or roll as they call it) of Loctite Express Repair Putty.

Cut a small piece off of the roll, about as big as pound coin and after 'needing' it, rolled it up into a little sausage and used it to fix the mount back to the fairing....lining up the broken edges.
Left it for about 2 hours and refitted the clocks surround.
    Hey Presto all fixed

    Just thought I'd share

    Intermediate exhaust seals

Well, after one failed attemp and lack of patience earlier in the year, I've just come out of the garage after fitting one of the original cans WITH the correct intermediate seal between the front and rear pipes. I had to trim about 7mm off the rear pipe and make a few more grooves, because I couldn't get the seal in without kinking it (like my first ham-fisted attemp)....I put this down to 16 years of high temperatures warping the pipes. I then applied a thin layer of exhaust sealant which helped to slide it onto the front pipes, and after 1/2 hour umming and ahhhing....it's on !

Stay tuned for the other can....

    Nice one

I'm still waiting for my ProDuro to be made.
Well, I been told that it's almost done, just waiting for a 'collector' piece and then it's gonna be shipped from Holland to the agent I ordered from who will then post to me

Only ordered it on 24th July

    Oi ! that's a long wait Scotty !
The other can (RH) went on without any bother, and again using paste (don't think this was really necessary). So, changed the oil, and now it's bed-time until April. Dommies don't like sitting in the garage do nothing do they ? Had to get the jump leads on her again...boring !
One thing I did notice though is the difference in oil prices. I usually use Motul 5100 fully synthetic @ £8.17p/litre, but because my supplier was shut (sunday) I had a coice of Shell @ £12.41p/litre or Esso @ £14.92p and found both a bit hard to swallow.

    Bloody hell.

I used to get Valvoline 10W40 semi for 50 euro per box of 12x1 liter.

Lately I've been using posh oil (Belray EXP) for 35 euro per tank of 4 liter with the benefit of not requiring a 150 km round trip for a box when I don't have the round tuits for it...

With the rate at which the dommie goes through its oil I really don't see a point in buying expensive full synth oil.

    How are we fairing ?

Are all Dommie fairings interchangeable between different year models j, k, l, m, n and so on ... I know the design has been updated from the 88/89 model but I thought maybe the popper hole locations remained the same - and just the contours of the plastic changed
