NX650X coil

Hi there

my NX650 wont start, been having some problems over the last few weeks. The bike would just stop running at high speeds, eg 100Km/hour
I have changed fuel line, filter and removed the fuel tap and cleaned everything..
This morning getting ready for work, my bike wouldnt start, the battery went flat too trying to get it to start. i used a jump starter on it and it wtill didnt help.
I have taken fairing off , tank and removed the coil and cleaned around it.
I put on a new spark plug and tested to see spark and there is nothing...
For what the 88-89 manual says for this bike that the coil is the problem...
I have removed spark plug cap and checked everything there for any breaks etc and tested it again and still nothing.
Apart from David Silver spares in the UK, is there any other shops in the UK that would send goods to Australia for this bike...David Silver spares dont sell these coils.
i dont have a multi meter and will get my local Honda shop to test it to Wednesday

I'm not sure that they have coil listed, but e-mail and give em a try.

If not, think you'll have to go to Honda or maybee off a scrap bike ?

found out today it wasnt the coil, l have bike with tank, fairing and seat off ready for its trip to Honda shop Thursday afternoon...
He reckons it could be CDI, pulse generator...
He is going to test it for me then...

fingers crossed it wont be too costly for me

well after waiting for over 2 weeks for my bike due to a back order of my part...it was the CDI that gave me the problem...
i was happy with the price but very sloppy practice from the bike shop as they left electrical parts eg front brake wires just hanging and not connected..and headlight wiring also...the bike wasnt the same when l got it back..i noticed the kill switch/starter button moved aswell as the throttle...
Nothing ever comes back the way you left it when you get someone else to fix it...typical...
bike starts really good now....
