    Nice one dude

Youll love the new sound. Best thing to do is open up the airbox - and fit a foam or k&N filter - you should probably re-jet the carbuerettor if you do this tho, as the engine will run hotter.

Be warned - its a pig of a job to re-jet the carb - working on the carb is easy - its just a real bitch to get it out of the bike.

    Oops...only just seen this reply.

The guy called me back (from Sound Distribution) to say that there is a lead time and the factory in Holland (!?) shuts down for all of August ..oh well, All Good Things to He Who Waits is what my dad always says.

Also, I've seen some "service" kits on ebay inc. K&N filter + plug + oil...might get one and do everything on one go

Apart from removing the carb from the eng through the frame, what is involved in re-jetting - any links to any previous posts ? ..my search doesn't find anything easily identifiable as re-jetting.
    I've never done it before

    Sorry about my ignorance guys

Best and easiest is to find a shop that has a dynostar thing, do a run and listen to what the guys there have to say.

And indeed, doing carb work is a bugger on the NX, I've got the routine of changing a jet down to 90 minutes, in a well stocked workshop...

(Then again, it could be worse, it could've been a Pegaso. Apparently you need to take off the exhausts and subframe to get at the carbies in one of those.)

Get your can on first and see how the bike feels. it will seem better with the different exhaust sound.

If you seriuosly want to re-jet the bike, i can give you some tips on what you'll need - (New main jets from Wemoto - size 158 and 160, whilst carb is out, you can drill the slide which helps the throttle action, and a small washer to raise the needle valve-think ive still got some knocking about). the new main jets are £4-£5 only each.

or you can come up to mine and i'll show you how its done, or i might be able to pop down to yours (if youve got plenty of tools ?).

Other thing to bear in mind is coming accross any problems - stiff or broken bolts will add time.

ps (i'm getting postal price for your mirrors tommorrow - promise - sorry for delay)

    Ant.

Was chasing my order the other daty and got this reply...

    Hi

Firstly sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I will be completely honest and say we are having problems getting a time from Laser due to all their current back orders.

Prob at least a month - I realise this is not good news and if there was anything we could do to speed it up we would.

We are chasing it for you constantly and will keep you informed of any progress

    Again??

Laser seem to have a hard time getting their act together...
Couple years back I had to wait 2 months to get my street legal produro.

Recently had a mate with a transalp order one, also backordered. Now you.

They're such nice exhausts, but a bit hard to get now and then.
