Avon Distanzia's are my favourite 8.5-9k from a rear and the pair will set you back less than a 1er I ride all year and have no complaints about their performance in winter road muck. Lots rave about Metzeler tourances and I'm sure they're a good tyre, but whenever I've looked into them, they are always 20 quid more than the Avons so being a skin flint, it's a done deal

I'm very happy with Michelin Anakees, not the cheapest around but they stick to the ground pretty well (managed to scrape a peg on the dommie with those -- without doing a face plant immediately after, mind you) and also pretty good in the wet stuff.

    90-90-21" and 120-90-17"

Though it'll take 130-80-17" if you want to.

cheers fellas the tyres on mine are on their way to the bin i thinks they say trailwing on the side and in any event they are pretty rubbish in the wet in my opinion and any "enthusastic" throttle use causes big fishtails hehehe opps

still loving the bike though even if it is a big leap downwards from my fazer 1000 its still a whole heap of fun

Strange how different things can be, isn't it - the Trailwings I had on my Dommie (standard TW41 and 42) gripped like anything in the wet - apart from when tipped over in a corner and find a wet manhole cover

Samwise, What life did you get from your trailwings?? I found them grippy enough (if you kept the pressures right) but only got 4.5 k from a rear
