What's the easy way to take the old gaskets away?
I use a new wood chisel to remove gasket material but you have to use it the right way or it will dig in try it first before you go mad with it

Can't find the spark plug anymore... Believe it was worn when I took it off and threw it away.

I also tried the end of a tooth brush that I sharpened, not bad.

You can buy spray cans of gasket remover, just spray it on and leave to work for a few minutes and then scrape away the softened gasket.
If there is some still remaining then repeat.
Wurth do a very good one called Décapant.
Be very careful using steel scrapers on thin and soft alloy cases, its easy to slip and damage the surface and end up with a leak.

Engine cases are closed, but there is still a 1mm play on the primary shaft. Like I have no washers left on my bench, I'm wondering if it's normal? Would it be fixed with the clutch on?
