Hi
I had been running on the 98 reting for some time but had to use the 95 grade last week and to be honnest there was no diference at all. It went just as well.

The only time you should need 98 is in a high performance engine: porsche, ferrari, etc. Even the litre sports bikes do not always specify it. You certainly don't ned to spend the difference on a NX650!
My Fuel injected R1150 GS runs no worse on 95 as on 98 to be honest. But its your money and your peace of mind!
Never noticed a problem on 95 so no incentive to spend more on 98I like cheap miles me

My Dommi doesn't seem to work sensibly better on 99 than on 95, but it drinks a lot more petrol when treated with high grade. Maybe as much as 1 liter per 100 kms.
Does anybody know whether the petrol should be leaded or unleaded?
Unleaded is fineAlmost all jap bikes are designed to run on unleaded as standard since the 80's
