    Question Whats it worth?

Going to test ride a Dommie this weekend: 51 plate and about 17000miles IIRR.

Condition? Well, its got new tyres and stuff like that: Tax and MOT, but has needed a it of work to get it throug. Obviously been down the road as the can is aftermarket and the tank as scrapes etc. Other than that the guy selling it (for someone else) is a mechanic I know and trust and he says its pretty much tickety-boo apart from the cosmetic tattiness.

So what should I be expecting as a a buying price?

Remains to be seen if I accept it though, based on the condition....

Well, whealiebin just got a '98 for £1300 with 17k on the clock and that looked in pretty good nick, so, regardless of age the miles + condition should keep the price low(ish) and/or similar to the 1300 quid mark ??... maybe

Really hard to put a value on something like that, to most people the mechcanicals are far more important than the cosmetics on these types of bikes, so prices can remain high. It's not like buying a crashed sportsbike, you almost expect a trailbike to have a few knocks.

Keep an eye on e-bay and bike trader, there doesn't seem to be a shortage of good clean examples.
