Oil consumption!

Hello everone,

When the periodical oil change process comes at 3.000 km (or 2.000 miles) I notice that I can receive about a liter of oil from my bike (It consumes about a liter by this calculation :P ) My bike is at 48.000 kms, what can affect this amount of consumption? What are your thoughts?

They run quite hot and at least mine tends to use oil when I'm doing motorway speeds with the revs around the 5500-6000 mark.

Mind you you really should check the oil a lot more than just when you're changing it, and top up if necessary. You wouldn't be the first who kills his engine by not checking the oil.

(And just checking, you do know about the 2 drain plugs, right?)
