domi hunting judder under 3000rpm

Hi people. I own a 1991 NX650/dominator which had been rebuilt with piston,rebore valve rockers, timing chain, rocker guides and clutch.
it runs good except when in 3rd,4th or 5th and engine speed under under 3000rpm it hunts/judders, the engine seems firm in the frame, chain and sprocket are ok and no loose bolts. above 3k no problems, has anyone any ideas or areas to check.

you may find that the dommie doesnt like running in those gears below 3000 rpm - i know mine can be a bit lumpy at those revs/gears - or did the bike run fine at thes settings before the re-build ?

Mine too. I think it's just one of the downsides of a big single.

Check if the shift lever moves down.

Mine did same ,juddering in 4th ,5th found problem to be the rear sprocket bearing had broken up,£5.99 from Wemco problem sorted.
