    Tank Bag ?

Anyone got a tank bag on a Dommi ?
Just been for a ride with some big KTM's BMW's etc etc
And they have heaps of room for tank bags etc , just wondering how you could fit one to a Dommi ?
It would be handy for the camera , maps etc.

    PS
Dommi kept up with them all day

Made by Büse. Fits pretty well on the stock tank, it'll be half on the seat but that's no big deal. Doesn't work very well at all on the Acerbis tank though, as you can see.

One thing to keep in mind is that standing on the pegs becomes difficult with the bag on.

Woah , thats looks pretty big ?
Does it bother you/get in the way when riding ?
Is it just strapped on ?

I was looking at a few magnetic ones a few weeks ago , but was worried that they would scratch the tank.

    Re: Tank Bag ?

I'm quite tall so I'm sitting on the back of the seat most of the time, it doesn't bother me while riding unless I try to stand on the pegs.

It's pretty big, and can be made even taller. I used to put my cooking gear in there when camping, it'll hold a pan burner mug and all the other small stuff like flashlight mobile camera etc.

It straps on, has to since the acerbis tank is plastic.

    Ok thanks
I'll see what I can find , I think they are really handy, but you have to remove it to fill the tank ?

    Re: Tank Bag ?

I use an Oxford tank bag, the smaller one of the range and it's ok. Not as good a fit as Rubberchicken's mind but the magnets hold just fine. I had it originally for my Zx9,as with my seat bag. When I use my seat bag, as today, I use the tank bag as a rucksack with harnesses provided. Works all ok.

    Re: Tank Bag ?

Yes it sits over the filler cap, so it has to come off. There's a zip to separate the bag from the base plate, and the base plate has a hole in it for the filler cap.

In practice it means unclipping the steering head belt and sliding the whole thing sideways a bit, easy peasy.

Used to have a bag like that on my old CB900 in the 80's. That was real easy too.
