    unusual problem

ive recently discovered that if i turn the handlebars to the right when the bikes on its sidestand when its being warmed up, the idle speed goes right down and stalls, almost as if its being fuel starved. i doubt this is it as the handlebars are nowhere near any fuel delivery pipe as far as i know, so was wondering if its an electrical problem with something shorting out??
Is this another dommie quirk, or is it just mine??
    Cheers

    Hi Loomesy,
Just a thought - I think that when you are turning the bars the choke cable is getting snagged somewhere, they are usually quite short and there's not much free play with them.

Try putting a bit more play into the throttle cable. In ordinary riding the handlebars don't get turned so much but when you're starting off first thing they get twisted around as you maneouvre about. The least slack is with the bars turned.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!
