More than likely DOT 3 but DOT 4 might be compatible with older seal types and will get you stopping until you get the correct fluid.

thanks, i just bought some DOT 4. Only thing is that i can't get the lid of the rear resevoir! Tried and it balls the heads of the screws. so i tried drilling a bit and using screw extractors, except this has not sheared the head off the screw! Doh! So i have it in work and will have to try some major surgery!

oh crap - thats not good. Obvioulsy be carefull not to get bits of metal into the reservoir when you finally get the cap off.

Sorry cant offer any advice about how to remove cleanly (id be swearing like a trooper by now if it was me )
