Front sprocket

Has anyone changed their front sprocket for riding off road. Am seriously thinking of putting on a new front sprocket less one tooth. What do you guys think?

I've done it Simon 14 front with 48 rear and you can keep the standard 110 link chain,all you can do is try it and see if it suits you.The trouble with the Dommi is the wide gear ratio between 1st and 2nd.I got my sprockets for Wemoto.

the 48 rear, is this different to standard? I noticed the smaller front sprocket on wemoto. think thats the one i will buy.

Hi Simon, 1988-90 standard rear sprocket was 45T, 1991-94 had 47T, and 1995-02 had 46T as standard fitment. The 14T front sprocket i bought from Wemoto was a standard front fitment for the SLR X,Y model 99-01....JTF 308.14. Rgds Jeff.
