Where to pick up power for my grips ?

    Hi all
I have fitted some heated overgrips , and after some stuffing around I connected them straight to the battery as a temporary measure.
I tried to get them connected via the on switch at the headlights , but the headlights seem to have power and then switch to ground.

So any suggestions on where to pick up power for my heated overgrips ?
My bike is a 95 model.

    thanks

I would have thought that direct from battery with an inline fuse was the best way.

You can always fit a rocker switch on the bars if the grips don't have a switch themselves

i've never been a fan of splicing into a bikes wiring. I prefer to keep things simple

    Hi
Have fitted these myself to my bike, your best bet is to find a switched ignition feed, the earth can be picked up anywhere. The switched ignition feed i picked up from a round block connector inside the fairing attached to the frame. if you have a circuit tester just prop the wire and then switch ign on and off to see if you have feed when on and gone when off, after all you only want the grips to be working when the bike is running, if you are struggling to find this feed i will take photo of mine so you can see where it is.

    Best regards Baz
