    Italian imports

Seen a couple of import Dommies, low mileage, good condition. Anything in particular I need to know about these imported bikes. Cheers

Same as UK spec except for speedo in KPH and wrong side dip beam headlight AFAIK. Been discussed before here.

I think Ii am right in saying thet all Dominators were made in Italy so they should be OK. Some export bikes have a diferent breather system.

The RD08 ('95 and later) was made in Italy, the RD02 was made in Japan.

as has been posted before. Should only be headlight/speedo differences.

I had an Italian import VFR750 and after changing the lights and speedo no-one but me knew

    Re: Italian imports

I have an Italian import Transalp.I changed the headlight for a UK one and fitted a speedo converter, job done. The thing I did not do was go through registering the bike in the UK,the previous owner had done that.I believe imports to be a good thing if only because I have a twenty year old bike that has not been ridden through a British winter until now.
