    Brake servicing

    Hi All
Can anyone explain to me how I replace the rear pads on my 1999 (Model) Dom. I have the pads, but the caliper seems to be held in place by 'rubber bolts' ! I can't see any way of de-mounting it to access the pads. Also do I just pull out the pad pin retaining clips to release the pads from the caliper?

    Any help gratefully accepted

    Hi Mark,
You don't need to remove the caliper. Remove the wheel to give you space to work in. If I remember correctly there is a pin at the rear that goes through the caliper and the pads. Remove the split pin/spring clip going through this and then remove the pin. It may have an olive type fitting on the one end so use an old 3mm drill bit or a pin punch to tap it through toward the wheel. As they say in the manual to refit reverse the procedure.

    Hope this helps.
    Mike
