Now I know we've had a fair few threads regarding rough running SLR's recently, some of them being my own! I've managed to put it down to my carb's icing when the temperature is low and it's foggy. Adding Pro FST to my tank has since stopped all that and the bike has been running great again.... until now.
Yesterday I ran the tank pretty low then filled it to the brim with petrol and didn't have chance to add any Pro FST. This morning the weather is pretty grim, drizzly and misty - if the temperature had been low I would have made sure to add Pro FST but I thought since it's a lot warmer (about 8 degrees celsius) I won't need to. Then on the way into work the bike start cutting out when I come to a stop and stuttering a tiny bit when pulling away.... so can carb icing occur even in warmer weather!?![]()
