Question new air filter standard or K&N

THanks for the replies re the Remus can question, I have done a plug chop, and it looks fine, so leaving the jets standard at present. Would it be okay to use a K&N filter, for long life, or safer to use standard ones? Any thought/experience appreciated. Bought the FMX to slow me down (2008 blade) not sure it is working, once I got used to being so far up in the air, great fun.

Re: new air filter standard or K&N

Chances are, that with a K&N air filter you will need to upjet a bit to compensate for the extra flow through the system...

the only other problem with K&N air filters, is if you live in a very dusty or sandy area, they dont always stop all the dirt...
