    Good to be back

Its a long story but I had a Dominator for about 2.5 years, then sold it and got a Suzuki SV650, which was a brilliant bike, but then i rode a dommie again for the first time in about a year and realised that my life needed a dommie in it again, so thats what ive done...just bought a dommie, and F-reg (like my old one), red, 17000 miles....let the lunacy commence.

Now onto the serious business about 'zorsts. On my old one I fitted an Arrow Paris-Dakar one which i really liked, it became more free revving at all revs and sounded good, and i didnt have to do anyhting with the carb...well actually I dont know if i HAD to but i didnt...

Im tempted by another one of these or theres the Laser ProDuro, which seems to be a common replacement as well though expensive.....so what are peoples opinions of other 'silencers' out there...whatever happens, the originals are going to be ditched

Thanks...and like I say, Its good to be back

Good to have you back. There's something about the Dommie and after 30,000 miles I fancy a change but just can't bring myself to sell it. A lot of my mates with bikes just don't get it and until recently were happy to take the mick out of it. Soon put that right - after a ride out they're a lot more respectful now.

As far as exhausts go I'm on my third set of silencers (it's winter riding that kills them). The first set were original Honda but the other two were by a company called Mivv (Italian I think). They're nothing special - just cheaper replacements for the originals. They may do some stainless ones though if you look around.

As you say, the most common one seems to be the Laser and apart from the price I don't think anyone's got a bad word about them.

    Enjoy the bike.
