Question exhaust pipes holders for SLR 650

    Hi Everyone!

I've got problem to find part (because i dont know name of part) for HONDA SLR 650.

I mean , exhaust pipes coming out from cylinder are hold by two "rings" (my one badlly rusted), screwed up by two chrome bolts (two bolts for one "ring").

I'm sure you can help me, this same parts i have seen with many singles, probablly DOMINATOR has this same.

    Thank you for any advice.

I think what you mean are the 'collars'. I don't know about the SLR but, more often than not nowadays, they come with the front pipes and it's not possible to take them off or replace them individually.

Aha i wasted a lot of money on my SLR buying secondhand pipes . the dommie has 2 piece rings that you can fit without even removing the exhaust
i did this on the Vigor very easy will look up part number for ya
here you go you need 4 of no 1 in this picture, the part number is there, just looked at David Silvers website part number is now 18231MN1670, £9.71 each +vat + postage or lings £44.75 for the 4

no not unless you remove the exhausts or they are already leaking , it is not neccesary to remove them to fit the new rings as they are in 2 pieces

you will not need to remove the exhausts, undo the nuts holding the ring on take old ring away from engine, fit the new 2 piece rings then cut the old ones in half too remove them from the exhaust, much quicker, i just used bolt croppers to remove em when i did mine
