Exclamation Had an issue with the bike...

I had an issue with the bike yesterday...

I was overtaking a car when suddenly the engine started misfiring and the rev counter was holding at 2k rpm....even though the bike was revving faster.

I pulled into a car park just up the road and the bike completely died.
engine wouldn't start, no electrics at all...

Turns out that the negative terminal was very loose...

Tightened it up and it was fine...

Just seems weird that it happened then...

Going to thread lock it so it wont happen again.

I presume its the vibration that caused it...

EDIT: While I think about it, does anyone know the valve clearances on the FX650? (Probably a question for MervinH :P)
I probably missed it, but I could only find them for the NX650 and the SLR.

I think I need to do them...they are rattling slightly...

Also, are the valves shim over bucket, shim under bucket, or thread adjusted?
