    Exhausts

After just replying to a post about exhausts and thinking, just wanted to ask a question
(sorry if it has been asked before, I cant remember seeing it though)

Has anyone fitted a universal exhaust to their bike?

I noticed you can get a "not necessarily legal" silencer for around £40

Like this one: Exhaust Silencer Universal Taper 15 - Motorcycle Products Ltd

All that would be need to connect it too the bike would be a link pipe (2 or a 2into1 actually) which I could probably build myself (at least out of mild steel)...

I know it would need rejetting to allow for the higher flow exhaust(s) but I would even with cans built for the bike :S

Look forwards to hearing any thoughts...

EDIT: Forgot to add, I have found other silencers for cheaper....including some out turned tip ones which could look good

    Re: Exhausts

As said above,a quick ebay search can bring up some really cheap sporty cans

The link pipe is very easy to make using some old exhaust pipe and a welder:

It's not pretty but it worked perfect on my slr.

Any exhaust will work on any bike as long as you set up the carb jetting correctly
