    Question Fuel Tank

How big is the fuel tank on the FX650 Vigor?

Several places say it is 13L, the manual I think says 15L
But I have also read that its 9L :S

    Which is it?

I havent ever run mine down to reserve, because if it is 9L...well...I dont like pushing it :P

Easiest way to find out would be to run it till you hit the reserve, then fill it up to the brim.
Dont think i managed to get much more than £10 in mine from reserve which would be approx 10L .

Just had a quick look through the manual but i cant find where it mentions it

    Re: Fuel Tank

    Fair enough...

Oh well...might have to run it to reserve then....which wont be hard....I dont get brilliant fuel economy (40mpg most of the time :P)

I just ride it too hard :P

Mind you....I did 62 miles of fast riding and ....with 2 gallons of fuel :P ......31mpg

    Re: Fuel Tank

    That's crap mpg imo.
I used to hammer the sh!t out of my slr every day, constant wheelies, allways flat out everywhere and i got 100 mile as far as i remember to every £10 fuel.

Yes, but tbh the bike does need some tuning...

It has always run quite rich since I got it....I wonder if the previous owner had different cans on it :S

Will find out once I take the carb off to upjet for the new can

Oh and the fact I am as aerodynamic as a large brick wall :P

EDIT: I dont really do many wheelies.... :P hope to change that with a tune though
Normally I get 40mpg...with a little bit of off roading (normally several miles per ride...its so much fun :P)
Normal road riding only (taking it easy) I should get more....
