    Overpriced carbon brush (starter)

Well I have the AX-1 brother of the NX250 , and the starter needs service ,
and actually new carbon brushes .

The starter got rebuild ed , two years back with original Honda brushes ,
the cost was and is extremely expensive .
    About 30 to 40 euro , per set .

Is there any alternative solution ? ( even if trimming is necessary )
Like from other bikes , like Yamaha Suzuki or other , with lower cost ?

Is there any other maker , that makes brushes ? so to buy direct and overpass Honda pricing policy s .

Well I am not looking for an easy solution .

From my research I found that those starters are made by Mitsuba ( Mitsubishi Japan )

Most Honda s TRX ATV s , using them even today .

    NX250; XR650L 93-09

Found on eBAY many equals , almost half price .

Spotted also equivalents , from an old Honda car 600cc , that I just order them , about four of them , the cost with shipping is no more than 9 Euros .

I have spare a second starter too , that the brushes has still about 50% life in them .

So I have the chance to experiment , and having the motorcycle in motion too .
