    SLR 650 Rear Shock

    Hello folks

My SLR650's rear shock seems to have gone a bit spongy, and I'm hoping theres an easy fix for it.. When I bought the bike about 5 months ago, I sat on it in the showroom and it peed oil all over the showroom floor - they had it reconditioned before I bought it.

It seems theres now a lot more travel, and if Im going quickly and hit a bump, it feels like it clangs or bottoms out a bit.
Is there a way to top up the oil in the rear shock, or somehow adjust it. I can see there are 2 "square toothed" rings that seem to lock together to adjust something - is this preload? It would be good to get that done too, as the bike is a bit short for me at the moment.
Failing any of that, Ive seen a new one for sale for £100, is it reasonably easy to change?

    Thanks for any suggestions!

Thanks Catteeclan, that sounds about right - there is oil all over the bottom of the beast. Looks like I'll be getting that replacement one then.
    Thanks

I'd be going back to the dealers if it's only lasted 5 months after being re-conditioned.

It's a very easy job to replace if you do go that route.Basicly just a couple of bolts.
