    FX650 Vigor bakes

    Hi all,
I've joined the forum because I've just bought a Vigor.
I was wondering if any other FX650 owners noticed that the brakes feel rather weak or is it a problem with my bike?
I did read somewhere that replacing the brake master cylinder with one from a GT550 will increase the stopping power.
    Can anyone comment?
    Thanks,
    Mike.

Hello and welcome to the Forum.
    Have the brakes been bled?
If you came from a sports bike then the brakes do feel underpowered.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

In my experience it's best to leave plenty of braking distance when riding a vigor especially in the wet.

Just stripped mine fter fitting an R1 caliper to my little TDR 250 i decided the Vigor was pox awful, found out one slider was seized , freed that up and it is much better but the `1977 aircooled rd,s outbrake that is for sure, and the TDR fitted with tha R1 caliper
