Are these interchangeable?
I prefer the dommie style front mudguard. Already have a 19" wheel.
Still want to use xl stanchions, as they can air adjusted.

I think the legs are the same diameter on the outside. Wheel fittings are similar for old models, but I'm pretty sure the low mudguard can't b e fitted on XL/XR.
Yes you're right, the low mudguard won't fit the xl forks (not without welding on mounts!), which is why I need to know if the fork stanchions are the same on the nx650 and xl. They are both 41mm diameter but I need to know if they fittings at the bottom are the same.
To be clearer, will at set of XL600 fork stanchions/uprights fit into a set of nx650/transalp fork legs/bottoms?
I believe the XL forks are more adjustable, which is why I want to keep the fork legs.
Oh, you're trying to merge the two... just realised now, sorry. Not sure I can help you there. Try looking at a patrs listing (try Welcome to OEM Motorparts, Original parts for Aeon, Aprilia, BMW, Buell, Cagiva, Dinli, Derbi, Ducati, Gilera, Harley davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Moto Guzzi, Peugeot, Piaggio, Suzuki, Sym, Tomos, Vespa and Yamaha motorcycles, mopeds and scooters.) and check to see if the forks have roughly the same listings.
I honestly doubt it, since the lower end is where all the valving is for the NX forks. The XR/L ones are designed for air, so the valving should theorethically at least be different.
Thanks for the site, not seen it before. Looking at the diagram of the front forks on the site, it appears the 2 are not interchangeable. Looks like I'll be sticking with the original mudguard for the time being.
