Do you mean cast, rather than spoke?

I once saw it done, but it had been a costly exercise. Wheels from a CBR 6oo, IIRR.
Spaces needed machining, axle too, etc...bit of a headache, TBH.

Presumably you are tryingfor a Super Moto look?

If so I would seriously recommend simply investing in Morad/Excel rims and re-spoking them to the original hubs. I did this and it was the cheapest way to go, and the result was nice to look at, IMO.

Be warned: you may need to get a speedo convertor/digital speedo, modify the fork brace for a wider front tyre, get a caliper bracket made (if you go for a bigger front disc, etc.

Its not as straight forward as bunging in different wheels....

hi warthog, yes i do know what you mean,i have access to lathes etc,the front forks are the same dia as the dommi and the same distance between the fork legs,it has twin disc,s with calipers bolted to the fork legs,so it was just a straight swop,by the way they are cast wheels and yes i want the supermoto look without the expence, the rear wheel fits but the sprocket carrier,s to wide making the rear wheel sit to far to the right, approx 1 inch, its not going to be the prettiest bike in town, its a 1993 dominator with a xl600 rmg seat/tank/headlight fitted,i,ll try to put some photos on sometime soon, many thanks mike

Cant you machine the cush drive down to fit? I think it will be very tight to try and gain an inch though.
I used the complete rear end from a KR1 kawasaki.Swingarm, wheel, brake the lot.The swingarm needed very minor shaving down to fit the frame. The 'arm mounts for the linkage bars are the same distance apart. I had to make new (shorter) bars but i wanted to raise the ride height a little.I still use the stock dommie linkage and shocker. The wheel obviously fits perfect in the arm but chain alignment is cock on! I had to have a one off rear sprocket made to keep stock dommie gearing but no real massive expense. One of the easiest rear end swaps i've ever done

I've wondered (since i got the FMX) if a vfr750 or 400 rear would fit.
