Guys... whats the biggest Tyres sizes that the dommie will be able to handle on std rims....?? whats the std sizes ?. cheers..

I've seen a guy with a 150 TKC off a BMW GS on a std NX rim, it fits the swingarm but it's way too wide for the rim.

But then, I've had a 170 BT020 on a standard suzuki DR rim, and that's narrower than the NX rear rim...

Don't go beyond 120/90-17, if you know what's good for you. Anything past 130 COULD scrape the chain and from 120 to 130 -- there's just no point since you only gain cornering instability and extreme wear -- nothing else.

I bought my bike with a 130 on the rear and its been fine. I have since replaced with the same size. It looks good and gives no problems cornering and never had it get anywhere near the chain.

Ken.. now that yer dommie tyre is 130.. whats the full size... is it 130/80/17, as the std tyre is 120/90/17 is their much difference between 80 an 90... tell me what you have on... thanks. john

Yes I was trying to remember when I posted it Its 130x80x17 that puts the rolling circumfrence to the original size.
