Hi,
Been meaning to join and post a quesiton for ages, not got round to it...
I've had the FMX for a few months now - and seem to get c. 80 miles to the tank - where tank is 2.9 US / 2.4 UK gallons - does this seem about right??
Thanks,
Dan

I get 80 miles before hitting reserve. I've done the sums a few times and usually get just over 50mpg. The whole tank is 11litres, but the reserve is about a third of this (can't find the exact figure but it's quite a big reserve).
Hey,
Thanks - OK, I'll stop worrying that something's wrong...
Thanks,
Dan
They fitted a thimble for a fuel tank
I can put up with the excess weight, i can put up with the lack of speed but the 80-90mile top ups REALLY annoy!
Especially when 50mpg is easily achievable, just 2.5 gallons would be brilliant, imagine 125miles per tank![]()
I get 105 miles to the tank but i ride like a girl and am only 9st !!![]()
Now this is quite strange, I get 140 or so (not less) from my Vigor's tank. My mates have bigger bikes and we don't exactly hang about. Last time I went as far as I dare I got 148miles but at that point I was virtually dry. It's good to know your true range on the tanks contents, it saves a lot of worrying.
One normal petrol I would usually get approx 10 miles per litre but with the premium unleaded 8 litres would get me 100 miles (20 miles better).
I use premium unleaded in all my vehicles now and I find it better value for money and performance.
