strange starting

i just bought a slr for the motor as its low miles and a stolen recovered.when starting the bike it has to be in gear and the clutch in.im sure you electrical gurus can point me in the right direction.wires are everywhere so i think the previous owner has crossed a few.all info welcome.regards tractor.

Neutral light working?

hi,no neutral light is correct.on the clocks theres a yellow light with s on it which lights up when its in neutral.do you think its a case of swapping some wires around.i have not had time to go over it because of work so the more info i get of you guys the less time ill waste when i am free.thanks for reply..ian.

I think you'll find your prob is here somewhere.
I think like the Dominator the orange light is for the side stand. This light, the clutch switch and the neutral light all link together to stop the bikes starter engaging with the bike in gear and running with the side stand down.

Some-one on here should be able to help you out with a wiring diagram.
