Think the manual says something like 2 1/2 turns out from all the way in. It's not unusual to need a little more out to help the tickover though.

    Yeap, 2 full turns (2 x 360) and a half (180).

    chaps

im about to order a new main jet from wemoto

i was going to order a 158 as recommended for sea level but wemoto dont stock like that

they stock the jet sizes in mm sizes for instance the closest to 158 is 1.60mm

am i right in thinking thats a 160 jet?

    cheers

    Re: throttle / carb probs

I have at some time ordered jets from any Honda dealer by their original Honda part numbers. The stock jet for the '89 RD02 is a #155, with part nr 99101-443-1550.

    I could get different ones by changing the 155 in the final bit to 160 or 162. The jumps in the numbers are a bit weird though. The ones I know about are 150 - 152 - 155 - ??? - 160 - 162 - 165.

Might be worth a shot ordering part nr 99101-443-1580 at the dealer.

    Re: throttle / carb probs

Hang on a sec, they've changed the numbers.

Earlier part nr for the #158 jet was 99101-393-1580, but it's been superseded by 99101-HN2-1580
