    domi carb problems!!!

The problem is that it wont rev out, if you nail it it will rev to about 6k and no more, it will be coughing and chucking out black smoke. if you turn the fuel off and hold it on the stop it will do the same untill the fuel just about runs out then it will rev right to 7.5k and then stop because of lack of fuel!
so its got to be running rich top end and the problem gets lower in the rev range the more you ride it, i've had the carb off, a lot! , and can't see why it is running rich, does anyone know what the needel number should be for standred carb, i think mine is a bhb, and it looks to have quite a step near the bottom and goes small very quickly. any help would be great!

Sounds like it could be a lack of airflow, have you checked the air filter and stuff to see if its restricted anywhere?

hi, yeah the air filter and inlet is fine. i've been running it with filter and the side off the air box so i can get a camera in there and see whats going on when its running. It runs spot on up to about 5k and then it seems to suddenly flood at about 6k. the inlet system is standerd but its got an full arrow exhaust.
also does anyone know the best place to get carb parts from? jets, needle etc

and if its other parts NRP motorcycle carburettor repair specialist if you just email this chap though give him a couple of days to get back to you ...recently i ordered a gasket set form honda @ £20 and when NRP finally came back to me they were £12...
