FMX Engine in Dominator

Hi, was wondering if anyone knows if a 2007 FMX engine would fit in a NX650 RD02 Frame? Thanks!

I didn't know early Domis had a cable rev counter.

i have no idea, never had a dommy.

I knew later ones did, so assumed that all the cases would be the same

I managed to get a 2005 fmx engine and have installed it into my dominator frame with no hassle, all the cables look the same but I think I have a electrical problem!
I think the timing might be out as she back fires alot, does anyone know if the electrics are different from a 93' dominator engine to the new one? Or is the back firing something else? Thanks for any help!

The advance curve is likely to be different. You'd need an FMX CDI for best results.

i changed a cog over from my old engine which seems to of done the trick!, think it was catching a sensor which told the spark when to fire. Was different on the old domi engine to this new fmx one.

Yes, the timing was better on the Dominator compaired to the FMX engine..
