Where to place alternative blinkers on front dominator

When i bought my motor the previous owner macgyvered the blinkers on with tape and bare bulbs

I replaced the blinkers on the rear with led blinkers. Now i also wanne place them on the front. Problem is there arnt much points on the front where you can mount blinkers. Anyone has suggestions or examples where to mount blinkers on the front?

What model year? Except for 92-95 bikes, you can easily mount blinkers on the stock mount points. For 92-95 bikes. you need to be a bit of a chip-chopper with the instruments cover (the top black plastic that reaches all the way back to the tank).

its a 88. But the blinkers are to short to place them there. I now ordered handguards with buildin blinkers.

That's a bad idea. Any fall and you'll damage a blinker. Your call though. Just make sure you use a proper electronic relay for the blinkers; otherwise it might not work or stay on all the time. Using resistors negates all the advantages of LED-based blinkers except for cosmetics.

It's not that expensive to get two short, thick screws with self-locking nuts and about 8x1 inches of 1mm-thick steel.

Yeah im looking for a led relay. Btw can the blinkers or the relay go bust when you dont replace the standard relay with a led relay?
Btw do these fit the dominator? http://cgi.ebay.nl/BIKE-IT-LED-OEM-H...item3a4ba5426e

The place of the led blinkers in the handguards looks pretty save to me. Off course if you fall really badly of unlucky you knock it off but wouldnt a blinker be knocked of to in that case..

Hopefully you're right or lucky enough to never have to test their endurance.

The normal relay won't go bust, but it won't blink right either. What you need is an electronic relay for a power range of 1-(10+)W. This should enable you to use stock dash lights + all LED turn signals. I've had good experience with 1-30W relays, LED rear signals, stock front signals and LED dash (turn) lights.
