Random Oil Pipes - help needed

I bought a new engine for my dommie this week and found it has some strange oil pipes coming off the barrel (I assume they're oil anyway)

Its an RD02 engine just like mine, but I can't find any dommies with these pipes. Searching the internet it looks like fmx's and some xr/xl's have them.

What I need to know is where they should be connected to?

My initial thoughts are that they are for oil which will presumably come down from the head through channels which are probably not there on my head, and should connect to the oil return system somehow???

There's no other pipes on the barrel that would be the opposing input if these are return pipes.

Please help!

They are not oil pipes, they are for that silly EGR system that some bikes have
you can safely blank em off, i have done it on my vigor here is a picture of on with it on

What he said. It's an emission system that injects clean air into your exhaust. So no oil in there unless you want to raise some smoke.

I must say I would never have guessed they were for injecting air into the exhaust .

Next dilemma is do i make some proper plates, or just cut the pipes, hammer 'em flat and weld 'em closed......

looks similar to the pair system on the alps, I just blocked the end of the pipe at the air filter so nothing got in works fine.

Bought the same kit for my FMX, quick and easy fix
