I'm 6'3" and ride a dommie, the only time i notice the size is when i'm stood up on tough off road sections the bars are a lttle low. Bar risers would sort this though. I'm thinking of selling if you're interested .

pff at 6" i find the dommie quite big but mine is raised a bit with different suspension. But i think the dommie is a great bike for long distance travelling. Its a simple design. Easy to work on. Just make sure you have some oil and oil filters with you in remote area's cos the dommie needs fresh oil every 1900 miles. other then that its bulletproof. Btw on the oil part i heard of people doing Africa trips on dominators and using diesel instead of oil with nothing better to get and it just kept on going

thanks for all the good info i am looking into at a nx650 92 that has been done up to go long distance been repainted, bigger tank, tourateck rack and some new tires. it looks nice an tidy but he wants £1600 I am not sure if that is to much.

Also these newfangled xt 660 everybody is talking about what sort of money are they going for i hate to sound like skin flint but i cant really afford it anyway but i think life is to short not to do good things
