all points to the carb but if you've changed that, well ..that's out of the equation ( unless the replacement is dodgy too which is highly unlikely .)
keep at it and keep us updated as I'm intrigued. have you compression tested it ? does it do it hot and cold ? you changed the cam ...did that include the decompressor mechanism . I'm just wondering if that could somehow be involved.. as it only operates at lower revs.
