Dommie cuts out at low revs - Need help!

all points to the carb but if you've changed that, well ..that's out of the equation ( unless the replacement is dodgy too which is highly unlikely .)
keep at it and keep us updated as I'm intrigued. have you compression tested it ? does it do it hot and cold ? you changed the cam ...did that include the decompressor mechanism . I'm just wondering if that could somehow be involved.. as it only operates at lower revs.

All sounds far to famililar I had the same issues... Stripped and cleaned the carb and then replaced the inlet rubber (Split) all seemed o be working fine.. Started well with half choke then tick over at around 1300 rpm.

This weekend has developed eratic tick over stalling at the lights on some ocassions then running above 2000 rpm on others. Hoping to have a look today im beging to suspect a dirty tank and may be the idle jet is blocking.

one thing that has crossed my mind is the non standard set up... Stock carb jets (I think), Stock Filter, but a after market single Arrow Exhaust would this cause problems and if so can I balance all of this together, I dont really like the Arrow exhaust kind of load and I beleive the baffles are missing.

Really like the Dommie but it make things a little anoying

Stock jets and unbaffled Arrow, yeah that'll be running quite lean then.

If you have'nt already try an iridium spark plug, just got mine back
running after 12 months parked up and theres a definite improvement in tickover, hope you sort it

And high octane fuel too, did with mine and it transformed its performance

Indeed.
Lots of people will tell you that it doesn't need high octane, and it doesn't really with the kind of compression these engines run. Doesn't do anything for performance not in terms of extra bhp anyway, but the bike does seem to run nicer on high octane. Dunno why, but I've noticed this on both the NX and the GS.
