    MIX Screw Seized and Broken

Discovered my Mix srew is goosed rest of the carb is in good nick and very clean I have been playing aound with the jets but stuck if cant adjust the Mix, Was thinking of just going for a Flatslide Curent set up is Now...

    Single Arrow Can (Baffle In)

    Headers Standard

KandN Filter with standard air box

    175 Main Jet

    Needle Lifted by about 0.5mm

Still not running brilliant definatly smoother than stock but still have tick over problems when warm
and the plug shows still running a little lean.

Have thought of getting hold of stock parts and returing back to factory set up ????

Just stripped down a completely knackered set of carbs from an old XJ600 with a mate of mine. Despite nearly all the idle jets and mix screws being chewed up and seized we managed to get them all out. Pouring a kettle full of boiling water onto the screw before trying to turn it can work wonders. If the slot is all chewed up then using an engraver with a long sharp point can open out the slot a bit (even if the screw is buried in an alloy housing) to get some purchase with a screwdriver. If you get a screw moving a little bit then be patient and work it back and forth with some WD40 before going for another kettle of boiling water. If its moving and it starts to go tight then go for more boiling water rather than forcing it.
Worth a try rather than scrap an otherwise good carb.
    Best of luck
