stalling after mods

right here we go again.i know i have done things arse about tit but im at the stage where my bike is stalling at lights and low revs.ok,i did the £1.75 jet mod thread and this what i have done,,,,,,
i have a main jet of .165
a slow jet of .50
a k+n air filter
the stock twin end cans have been drilled with 2x25mm holes in each can that overlap a little.
i have adjusted the slow jet and sorted that,so thats ok
ok,,,,,,,,when im out riding the dommie pulls well in all gears and seems very smooth right accross the rev range but as i close the throttle to stop it can sometimes tickover fine for a few seconds and then just dies.(i have'nt done the snorkel mod so apart from the k+n filter it is breathing as standard-ish)the odd time it splutters and the revs drop to just about stalling and then the engine picks up again to normal tickover for a while and then it dies again.it's as if it is being staved of 'SOMETHING'(fuel or air just at the close of the throttle)obviously i did the jets according to the '£1.75 jet thread' and other users say it has worked for them but this stalling is pretty often and getting on my tits a bit...........snorkel,exhaust valve clearance larger......any ideas.like i said,it runs great through the rest of the rev range so opening up snorkels may affect this,maybe,i dont know.

Slow jet set for max rpm at idle? Without it falling out? How much does it idle at now?

Easy 'fix' is to turn the idle rpm up a bit.

http://www.4strokes.com/tech/honda/xr650lcarbmods/ I followed these mods i have a full replacement k & n style filter with an arrow exhaust and it never cuts out at tick over. Did you adjust the mixture screw too?

nice one chicken of rubber,that sorted it right out.really happy with the outcome.taa to everyone who has helped me with dominatrix.my slow was 2-1/2 turns out.it is now 3-1/2 turns out and it idles perfectly.
