front brake upgrade for Dominator

I have just fitted a brembo front caliper and bracket from an slr to my Dominator, however the sweep of the disc is different as it is smaller than the one on the slr. The front disc from a 750 africa twin is perfect though and it also still allows the disc guard to be fitted with no modifcation neccessary. Now I have a really good front brake that still has lots of feel and feed back. Steve.

what year is your dommie.i looked at the option of getting rid of the nissin plop.i may stick with the nissin if i could get some sort of organic compond pads like they use on mtb.tons of stopping power but dont last as long.rather have stopping power than long life pads

My Dominator is a 1988 model and i had trouble bleeding the brake, it kept sticking even after a full rebuild. I think it was just worn out. The brembo bolts straight on but sits further away from the centreline. The disc is held on by four bolts and that's where the problems started as the slr's disc is held on with six bolts. after much research i found that the 750 africa twin disc was perfect (not the 650 as thats a smaller disc) The range of pads available for the brembo is much better as well.
