Race exhaust vs road exhaust help

(Hi everyone just signed up looks like a top sight

Hi folks just today bought an arrow exhaust for my nx650 hasnt arrived yet but just been looking through my emails and noticed that i have orderd the race exhaust instead of the road exhaust wondering what the difference is and will it be excessively loud thanks.

    I bought this one
Motorcycle Race Parts> Home - Performance Motorcycle Parts - Arrow Exhausts - Chain & Sprocket Kits - Renthal > ARROW EXHAUSTS > HONDA > Other HONDA Models > Honda NX650 Dominator 94-95 ARROW Single stainless steel race silencer (Homologated)

    instead of this one
Motorcycle Race Parts> Home - Performance Motorcycle Parts - Arrow Exhausts - Chain & Sprocket Kits - Renthal > ARROW EXHAUSTS > HONDA > Other HONDA Models > Honda NX650 Dominator 87-93 ARROW Single stainless steel road approved silencer

i dont see much difference in them to be honest

    Hi, and welcome

I suspect that only the "road" system will be allowable for on-road use - it'll have the necessary e-markings, and should be OK at MOT time. The "race" system won't have the markings and will be an automatic Fail.
In theory, the "race" system might release a little more power, and probably be noisier... and have no "db-killer".
