    Hagon shock

look whats happened to my shock

I am gutted , Hagon dont want to know unless I spend £100 on a rebuild but the shock is fine and still in realy good condition apart fronm this. It isnt cracked and I am tempted to leave as is for the moment but its just so realy annoying .
Dont suppose anyone has a old broken one about that i could swap the bits over too by any chance

I've never really been impressed with Hagon stuff. I think you're generally better off getting the original Honda ones rebuilt.

How old is that one? For the shock body to collapse like that there has to be something seriously wrong with the design.

I'd say don't bother with getting the Honda ones rebuilt either, save up a bit more and get a proper aftermarket one and not a bargain basement shock like Hagon. And I don't mean WP or Ohlins, that's quite the other end of the scale.

Wilbers seems better made than Hagon while not being much more spensive.

Hyperpro makes really decent kit too.

I was realy shocked that it happened but i guess its just a pointer to Hagons build quality , funds are tight so I am going to see if I can find a second hand one off ebay to get me through the summer untill santa claus come down my chimney

    Re: Hagon shock

Careful then, the shocks for the RD02 or RD08 have different lengths.

Might be worth it to have the Hagon rebuilt after all. If £100 is the difference between it being so much scrap metal and it being a functional shock, that's an okay deal.

It'll be easier to flog too if it's been rebuilt, should you later want to swap it for something nicer when funds allow.
