    TCS confusion.

I'm going to order a G-2 system for the new bike. Have noticed on the Ergo site there are three different sets of Cams for the Adventure, (100x, 200x, 400x) all in the same pack. The further info, doesn't really state, which would be better for road use.
On another site I noticed a thread, talking about a 300x. What did you guys buy? Which one do you use in what circumstances and the most often? Any help appreciated.

    Don , The G2 system I bought, was described as having a 100 200 and 400 profile cam in it - it came with a 300 instead of a 400 ??????.

The 300 is spot on for road riding - transforms the bike - you still get the awesome power , but with more "subtle" control over the first 1/4 turn of the throttle ............. and to be honest for normal road use you only ever need the first 1/4 turn !!!!

Oh your gonna love this puppy !!!!
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

    Ditto, what WJ said.

If you are gonna use the 990 for some off road you can either change the front sprocket for a 16T or the back one for a 45T instead of the std 17/42T. this helps massively as the big Katoom is very high geared.

It transforms the bike !, from having to keep slipping the clutch to a bike that will ride quite happily "On the throttle" and the TCS300 will give you a lot of feel on road and off road.

    good luck.

WJ, just got home today, of course no bike yet, but the G2 TCS had arrived! As they advertised it came with a 100, 200 & 400 set of cams, what you reckon for mainly road riding? (I don't want to put too much of a strain on my "downstairs, plumbing systems" at the moment, by going offroad with it when she arrives).

    Re: TCS confusion.

    Don,
I would stick the 400 on. I never did mine myself so can't offer any tips but they look to be pretty straight forward , just keep a spare set of grips handy incase you destroy them taking them off.

Mr Chad fitted his own TCS and may be along shortly with some advice.
