    Self Servicing?

Just wondering how many of you guys service their 950/990 adv themselves once out of warranty. Mine's a 2005 950 adv with only 6k on the clock.
Theres some great OEM service manuals available off the internet, so although servicing is trickier than the AT there is good info availaible and a great way to get to know your machine.
But were is everyone going for there service spares, is there a prefered internet shop that does OEM oil/air filters, brake pads , etc.......

just a note, i like ebay and use it extensivly, but please beware of some of these cheap ebay brake pads for the 950/990 - theres some shocking reports out there regarding these

    i.......thank you

    Re: Self Servicing?

hey airwolf, how are ya pal

Yes, i just couldnt help it, i bought the KTM so i could spend some more time prepering the AT for the ride to thailand next year. The AT is still IMHO easily the best bike for distance travel. trouble was i was clocking too many miles up on it, i'd put another 14k on the AT in 12 months just pottering round uk,france & spain. This way i can now take the AT offline and prep properly , and still have huge amounts of fun on the KTM in the UK.

    i know...........life is tough is'nt it!!

Need some help please....i'm torn between the KTM or the XRV for the national?? from a purists point of view it should be the xrv, right??

take care dude, and say hello to the lovely mrs airwolf

Yeah it certainly is a hard old life mate
    Sound's like a good plan
As for the national, i suppose the purist view wound be the @, but there is such a wide variety of bikes here now that there will be all sorts of bikes there, the thing i like about this place is that it's the people that matter most.
I'm sure you could rock up on a 'honda 90' and get kudos just for making the trip.
    See ya soon
