    Sooper Dooke

Picked up my darling yesterday, woohoo!

But only managed about three miles before the clutch went AWOL. D'oh!

Albion (Good guys, recommended if your thinking of going over to the orange side in the SW), who have had the bike on the sales floor for twelve or so weeks came and collected us and are, as we speak, tending to my baby. I suspect a seal has dried out after all that time in a heated and brightly lit shop not being ridden.

However they lent me a Super Duke. WOW, it's like an Adventure's insane cousin. The ride's really firm and the front wheel seems to have fallen out with the asphalt. It turns like a dog chasing a rat and makes a fantastic noise. Bit of a shock really after a whole summer (what summer?) off two wheels!!

Only real downside is that I have never ever got so wet so soon, after just thirty minutes on a bike in the rain I was dripping.

If you get a chance do try one, it's great fun but I must be getting soft 'cos I want my Adventure back.

    Cheers
    -Simon

X2 all of that - the roll-on power of the SD is just awesome !!

If you think the SD is a wet bike , you should try a Supermoto , not a fun ride if your commute in the rain takes you past/through farms !!!!
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

Slave cylinder, they can't get one 'till Friday. B@gger.

Moral of this tale is to get out there and ride your bike.

Simon says: don't neglect them, they get upset and then they let you down.
