Off to Manila on Thursday morning with all my gear this time, to pluck the "wee girl", from the dealer's nasty mitts*, at last. Having done the "family duty", so to speak, my company haven't called me (so they can go play with themselves), I'm off!
(*They have already fitted a touring Scottoiler, and I'm bringing the G-2 CT with a new Stiebel Nautilus with me, why change a winning combination after all?!)
Plan to 'carefully slide out' of Metro Manila, along the North Superhighway, into the mountains to the summer capitol of the Philippines, Baguio City. (250kms). Armed with only a digital camera and a brand new bike I intend to stay a day, doing the touristy thing, then head up the north west coast for another 300+kms. Afterwards, heading back to Manila for the 1000km service. (Hey Ned H., if you're reading this you remember the deal we had with the tank of gas eh?!!
Then as I said, it'll be a night or two of debauchery and over-eating in our nation's capital, then home!
Down along the South Superhighway to Batangas port, ferry across to Mindoro island, cross it (125kms), ferry to Panay, along the west coast road round to Iloilo City, ferry to Bacolod City in Negros Occidental, then up & down along the mountains to Dumaguete City, 250+kms away and home. (total around +/-750kms)
