Here is my cheap (!?!?) solution:
1. Buy a pair of cans off Ebay (In my case Fuel Titanium ovals off a crashed Aprillia Mille RSV - damaged - £65)
2. Speak to Fuel Exhausts about getting the slip-on fittings replaced with the KTM flanged fitting. No deal, 'cos they don't do ovals for the KTM
3. Speak to the nice guys at Quill exhausts, who make up a set of adapters to suit, and supply some new S/S hangers, all for about £100.
4. Fit the cans - reversed side to side to hide the damage - and use for a trail riding tour in Spain. Come back deafened by the noise.
5. Pull the baffles out and find that PO has sawn off the tubes, to make them louder!!
6. Speak to Fuel again, who supply me with a set of baffles £45, making the cans sound just right. Plus I've lost all that heat at the back end of the bike, and shed a few kilos as well.
I suppose the point of the story is that with the adapters from Quill, you should be able to fit just about any old pair of slip on cans you like. Apparently twins tend to blow carbon fibre cans apart, so i would stay away from them, but otherwise you just need two the same, preferably off a bike over 600 cc.
